SHIPPING POLICY
Items purchased on Knotcarver.com are shipped directly to the buyer from each member (artist, studio or supplier) location. This reduces the overall cost of shipping, eliminates warehousing, and lowers the retail price of our inventory.
Shipping rates are calculated real-time during the ordering process (including insurance for the purchase price) and are based upon daily UPS™ ground (surface) rates from seller origin to buyer destination. Because of the geographic disparity of our membership and the unique nature of our inventory, we do not provide overnight or next-day air shipping options. Rates are not negotiable except in the case of alternative shipping methods for over-sized special orders.
When and order is placed, Knotcarver.com automatically notifies the seller/member that a sale is pending and to prepare the item(s) for shipping. Once payment is received and verified, we confirm the order and the package is shipped to the buyer.
Members must e-mail the shipment ID number for each package they send to knotcarver.com as proof of shipment. We then send customers notice by e-mail that their package has been sent along with the shipment ID (for tracking). Funds are then released into the member's account (purchase price + shipping).
Boxing, packaging and handling are the reponsibility of the sender and are not included in the shipping rates. Because we do not ship items, Knotcarver.com cannot guarantee the condition or fitness of packages or their contents.
While we encourage careful packaging, if items are damaged in transit please see the returns page for more information about our return/refund procedure.
